Statement by Building America’s Future Co-Chair Ed Rendell on the State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Building America’s Future Co-Chair and former Governor EdRendell (DPA) – released the following statement in response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address: 

 

“I applaud President Obama for addressing our nation’s critical need to invest in infrastructure through his proposals for the Partnership to Rebuild America and a ‘Fix-It-First’ program. Together these programs will put Americans back to work upgrading and repairing our nation’s roads, rails, runways and other systems,” said Ed Rendell, BuildingAmerica’s Future Co-Chair and former Pennsylvania Governor. “Investing in these priorities will provide tremendous economic benefits and help the U.S. remain globally competitive. Infrastructure is the economic backbone of any modern society, and we are encouraged by tonight’s speech that it is a priority for the Administration.”
